About

Corner Office Chic is a blog designed for professional, ambitious women striving to avoid “frumpdom” while climbing the corporate ladder and breaking through the glass ceiling of conservative, male-dominated fields.  We work in the conservative field of law in Washington, D.C. where we have often observed some rather brilliant attorneys at all levels commit unforgivable fashion sins in courtrooms, boardrooms, and offices alike.   We are true believers in “dressing for the job you want.”

Though our hearts may be set on scoring a “corner office,” we realize (thank goodness) that there is no need to forsake our sense of style as we work hard to get there.  Striking the right balance between stylish and corporate-appropriate can be quite a challenge, but it can be done if you have the right tools in your wardrobe/make-up/etiquette arsenal.   We want to help you (and ourselves) get positioned for the corner office (or if you already have your corner office, we want to help keep you looking great while you work in it!).

If you have suggestions for topics you’d like to see discussed on our blog, please contact our editor JD_Chic at cornerofficechic@gmail.com.

Corner Office Chic does not endorse and is not affiliated with any of the retailers, manufacturers or designers listed on this site.

I love your blog and the message behind it. I completely agree that so often we (women) dress for the job we want but do not necessarily feel that it is a true expression of who we are on the inside. Often times we need two wardrobes so-to-speak. Thank you for putting together a great blog for professional women. I’m now following you on my blog.

Can’t wait to read your website – I am a lawyer in LA and have seen plenty of fashion sins here too 🙂

I have just now come across you web site and I absolutely love it! I work full time, but would so much rather be at home with my little 2 yr. old baby, but here I am @ work! So I try and love to dress for work and look good FOR ME! (Not anyone else) So I’m enjoying every single word in this blog! Thanks!
